Rap singer and producer Jay-Z, husband of Beyoncé, fell in love in 2006 with a champagne brand, Armand de Brignac, also nicknamed Ace of Spade because of the ace of spades on the bottle. The American rapper’s champagne brand is a global success with a strong presence in North America, Asia and Europe, with more than 500,000 bottles sold in 2019, while champagne consumption has drastically dropped in 2020 with the shutdown of tourism and hotels due to the health crisis. It has recently partnered with the LVMH group.
